Teaching students to be prepared for class by being dressed properly, hair up, and having all their shoes is only one part of the class. This teaches responsibility for themselves and their actions. However; one of my favorite things to teach in class is encouragement. Not only from myself, but for each other. When a student masters a trick they have been working on, or finally gets that step that they just could not figure out the class claps and cheers for them. I make it a priority to always leave class on a positive note and each student is encouraged on something they have been working on. I'm a pretty outgoing person so it makes it easy for those shy students to come out of their shell. I offer fundraising to help offset the cost of dance and the recital. We do two in the beginning of the year to pay for your costumes and any shoes or anything you might need. We also offer a third to help with any cost like children's feet growing and needing new shoes. I have a low monthly tuition because I do everything myself. If you ever have questions or concerns you will always deal with me. I love the fact that you will always deal with the owner for anything. I will always be the one to call you and the one to teach your child. In the very rare occasion I am sick there will be a qualified adult there to teach. I do have a couple of student helpers, but they do exactly that, they help. I do not let teenagers teach or run a classroom. I am very proud of our reputation of knowing each and every student personally and their parents. Although life with two kids can be very hectic I always make it a priority to be there for my students and parents |
